What I do

I’m Rebecca Eddison, an Australian artist creating original paintings, fine art prints, and bespoke commissions that celebrate the beauty of a collected life.

The objects we surround ourselves with should tell a story, reflecting the tapestry of our travels, our wild gardens, and the quiet comfort of Sundays at home.

That is the heart of my work. I create nostalgic still lifes and Australian landscapes, along with botanical studies, illustrated maps, and travel-inspired prints, all made to celebrate a life thoughtfully lived.

With over 18 years of experience as an artist and designer, I create expressive, colour-filled work for people who want more than mass-produced décor.

Each painting is approached as part of a larger narrative, a thoughtful collection of still life, landscape, or place, that offers cohesion for collectors and curators as well as for homes that feel beautifully lived in.

Because the best homes aren't perfectly styled. They're layered, personal, and filled with things that mean something.

I create art as comfort for the soul, not an audit of the world's problems, to capture not just how a moment looked, but how it felt. While I draw on the rich traditions of colour theory, I don’t use colour as a rigid map. Instead, I use it as a language of mood and atmosphere, leaning into the hues that best reflect the memory, the emotion, and the atmosphere I want to share.

Whether it’s the lively warmth of a sunlit dining table or the quiet cornflower-blue hush that settles at the end of the day, each painting explores the way light and colour can bring feelings to the surface. My hope is that my work invites you to slow down and notice the beauty woven through ordinary moments. Familiar yet quietly nostalgic, these paintings are made to bring warmth, joy, and a sense of belonging to the spaces we call home.
