A Redland Bay studio for creative afternoons

I am Rebecca Eddison, an Australian artist based in Redland Bay with more than 18 years of experience across art and design.

My own practice moves between expressive oil painting, watercolour, mixed media, landscapes, still life, illustrated maps and travel-inspired work. Classes will tie together all the threads from my various learning and art application over the years. I have qualifications in visual art and design.

Most importantly, I believe art should be a comfort for the soul. Being creative is an integral part of all of us. Sometimes we just need a little nudge to make time to do not just the things that need to be done but feed our creative souls too. My approach to teaching will be practical, encouraging and down to earth, with space to experiment, ask questions and find your own way of seeing.

Classes will be from my home studio in Redland Bay, on Brisbane’s bayside. It is a place surrounded by colour, collected objects, garden inspiration and plenty of natural light.

An English-style cottage garden growing in subtropical Brisbane, with clipped parterre hedges, established trees, flowering garden beds and a small white garden shed with black coach lights. A smaller inset shows a wallaby visiting the garden, with handwritten text reading “visitor to our garden”.
