Hello, I'm Rebecca Eddison, an Australian landscape artist and contemporary oil painter creating expressive landscape and still life paintings inspired by travel, treasured objects and the beauty hidden within everyday life. With a background in interior design and nearly two decades working across art and design, I’ve always believed the things we choose to surround ourselves with affect our moods in a very real way. Paintings are not just decor. They’re atmosphere. They’re comfort. They’re memory, made visible.
My paintings celebrate colour, light and the stories woven into familiar places. I'm endlessly collecting inspiration, whether it's an old piece of pottery from an antique shop, a weatherboard cottage, wildflowers gathered on a walk, or a winding country road discovered on holiday.
I create art as a gentle antidote to a fast-paced world. There's something deeply human about seeing the marks of another person's hand in a painting, the unexpected brushstrokes, the layered texture, the happy accidents that can never be perfectly repeated.
