Nautical stripes, hot pink bougainvillaea floral arch, cocktails and sunset by the canal overlooking the boats, could there be anything better?
Together with some other Sunshine Coast creatives we had a lovely afternoon putting together some Mediterranean on the coast inspiration.
My favourite piece I created for the day was this soft watercolour coastal wedding sign. Complete with lemons and little sailing boat.
I ran my art business as Berry and Peg for 11 years before becoming just little old me- Rebecca Eddison. This was a photoshoot the lovely Kristy from Maple Weddings & Events organised and styled. She is amazing with all the small details that make up a wedding!
Gorgeous, bright photography was all by Jennifer Oliphant Photography who even whipped us all up into line for a group photo at the end.
Crisp whites, bright pinks mixed with subtle navy for the palette made for a Santorini feel with a twist.
Fiesta Flora created a floral decor, I would never have thought to put beautiful soft baby blue delphinium with hot pink bougainvillaea. But she knows her stuff-it was gorgeous.
Nautical blue stripe borders and casual hand painted watercolour writing finished off the beach vibe.
This Santorini flavoured suite is available now in my shop, you could adapt it for a wedding or a birthday, I’m thinking it would be perfect for an elegant 30th birthday party with cocktails.
The other details I painted were the watercolour place cards, a cocktail sign for the bar. The cocktail of the evening was an Aperol Spritz, we had a few ‘samples’ from the Pier 33 bar and can confirm they were delicious.
For my stationery pieces, I was inspired by the patterned blue and white tiles of Portugal for the envelope liner. Keeping myself to a limited palette, and a relaxed style of watercolour to convey the calming nature of the beach.
The bougainvillaea arch Fiesta Flora had planned was my main inspiration for the invitations. IT. WAS. MAJESTIC!
Although I love my time in the studio with only the dogs for company, it was so lovely to get out and see actual people into the same creative sort of life as me. It is always so inspiring to see how others work. Especially in a field you are unfamiliar with.
